Self Isolation — Day Two

These are very interesting times, both good and bad.

The Covid-19 pandemic that presently has a choke hold on the globe is presenting a once in a lifetime opportunity to capture how humanity deals with a truly global crisis.

Countries around the world are implementing measures to minimize the impacts of the virus. Some countries are taking an educated approach to their decisions based on advice from their medical community and the World Health Organization.

Others it appears, are not. Rather, relying on the fascinations by its President on any given day.

All of this from the crazy to the sad compels photographers like myself to dive in and document the collapse as it unfolds right in front of them.

Until recently I was in the United States on a lovely 10 day trip to Sarasota Florida. By the time we left the number of cases in the United States had increased 10 fold.

In less than a week it has more than doubled, and is presently adding roughly 5000 cases each and every day. When we arrived in Florida (March 12, 2020) the entire country had less than 2000 cases, as I write this, it is over 55,000.

Upon returning to Canada we were told we are now in a self-isolation for two weeks. We knew this was going to…
